9 JANUARY 2013 LINCOLN, NE – The outlet power monitoring line of power distribution units (PDUs) from Geist passed a rigorous battery of independent US and international accuracy testing, showing that the Geist PDU line is within one percent accuracy of power readings recorded by their products at the outlet level, and measures within one percent of the voltage, frequency and temperature reading.

Low Profile Breakers from Geist

3 October 2012, Lincoln, NE—Today, Geist begins offering low profile breakers on select power distribution units (PDUs). The new smaller breakers reduce the PDU depth by over 40% compared to traditional magnetic breakers. The slimmer design protects against electrical overloads and allows the PDUs to be easily installed in data center cabinets with limited space.

Environet's Rack Manager

1 October 2012, Fort Collins, CO—Today, Geist launches the 3.7 release for their Environet DCiM systems. The upgrade includes the highly anticipated Rack Manager which allows users to manage racks in the data center on their own. Simply add the desired racks, identify and associate the power strips, branch circuits, or any other power or temperature readings.
