Facility Features and Benefits
Facility Features and Benefits
Environet Facility's extensive features allow you to monitor facilities proactively rather than reactively. With Environet Facility you can recognize problem areas before they cause downtime.
Environet Facility's analytics engine will include reportlets, reports, charts, and legacy tables. With our 4.4 software version, analyzing data and reporting is made simple through an updated graphical interface. Users will be able to generate and schedule reports to highlight critical information in the data center and surrounding facility. New reportlet types include bar charts, line graphs, gauges, table views, pie charts, and more. Each reportlet can be placed into a full report using drag and drop functionality and delivered via email, file, or ad-hoc creation. Reports can be created using any recorded data point in the system, including power, environmental, cooling, rack, space, tenant, and work order data. Each created report can be exported on an ad-hoc or scheduled basis, with multiple delivery options.
API for Integration
Geist's RESTful API provides a simple, reliable, and scalable solution for sharing information between multiple software systems. An OBiX API is also available and between the two API options, users will find it easy to share data from Environet Facility.
Rack and Asset Management
Environet Facility allows the management of racks and assets in the data center. For rack management simply add the desired racks, identify and associate the power strips, branch circuits, or any other power or temperature readings. With racks in place, users can add assets import or drag and drop functionality. Get total power, load balance, high temperature and a variety of other user-definable calculations. In addition to defining rack calculations, users can now utilize a dynamic front and rear rack graphic and depict calculations such as total power, load balance, space, and temperature.
Enables users to calculate and visualize power consumption for their clients, or ‘tenants’, based on real-time values. Peak and non-peak rates can be applied to accounts based on actual usage. The calendar feature of the Tenant view allows users to manage special rates for different times of the day, certain holidays and other user-defined time periods. This module integrates seamlessly with Environet Facility. It can be added to a station easily and configured by the user.
Alarm Notes and Instructions
Users can make notes on alarms that can be viewed by other users and give instructions about the status of an alarm or what needs to be done to remedy an issue.
Drill Down Alarm Grouping
Environet Facility groups repeat alarms into one easily accessed drill down menu item. Users can quickly view all alarms associated with specific trigger conditions.
User-defined Alarm Thresholds
Users can set alarm thresholds based on their requirements and Environet Facility will send warnings if an alarm condition is close to being triggered.
Email, SNMP Trap or SMS Notification
Environet Facility can notify users via email or text when an alarm condition is met. Users can access the system remotely to acknowledge alarms.

Stores documents associated with equipment, processes, warranties and more so you have centralized access to all essential information for your system.
Tracks the most commonly used data center efficiency metrics PUE/DCiE in real time. These metrics act as baseline measurements for implementing greener data center practices. The PUE/DCiE values provide the ability to visualize efficiency improvements in a data center and quantify the results in real time. Learn more about PUE/DCiE metrics at The Green Grid.
